Where Incredible Films, Creative Minds, and Art are Shared with the World.

OUR MISSION

The Madlab Post serves as a media production studio, international social club and microcinema that fosters community engagement, cross-cultural awareness and understanding through the magic of movies.

β€œA great event. I heard about Nicole's work
with short film festivals and we watched a lot
of short films. I had a blast.”
EMILIE, DENMARK

THE FILMS

Since 2012, The Madlab Post has provided dozens of communities in the Greater Philadelphia area with access to exceptional short films that local audiences would not otherwise have a chance to see. It is the only local venue where area residents could view all of the 2019 Academy Award Nominated short films and predict the winners on Official OSCAR® ballots.

The Madlab Post is also the only place in the country presenting an exclusive program of Canadian titles from the St. John's International Women's Film Festival.

THE LAB

The Madlab Post continues to provide its members with opportunities to MEET indie film directors, cast and crew; and gather for SCREENINGS with their neighbors, family and friends, to watch, discuss and vote on their favorites among an international selection of short films.

Visitors also travel from New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles, countries such as China and India; and schools including Princeton University and Drexel University for GUIDED TOURS of the 'Lab to discover little known facts about short film exhibition.

Couples also celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, holidays and graduations by reserving PRIVATE WORKSHOPS at the 'Lab to explore unconventional filmmaking techniques.

THE BUILDING

Headquartered at Bok, a historic vocational school closed by the School District of Philadelphia in 2013, The Madlab Post presents an international selection of films during its monthly program: Short Film Slam; a tournament-style film showcase with live screenings in multiple cities including Las Vegas and Baltimore.
“Nicole was great, with a wealth of knowledge
about short film/film history. I would
definitely recommend this to anyone
interested in movies or just trying something
new.”
ZARNI, NEW JERSEY
